Hi,

How is magic resistance calculated?

The reason I'm askimg, is that I fought the Gatekeeper who cast Fright which then nearly ate all my 320hp. I died, came back (same char lvl) but this time with about 130pts magic resistance. Still, Fright looks like it does exactly the same damage! Or am I mistaken?

It is calculated from the average of endurance and magic. You can also find equipment that offers magic resistance. I don't really consider Fright as being magic. It is just something unique to ghosts. More of a psionic attack. Guess I could change it to be a fear that forces you to lose control of your character and have you run about. :)
