postheadericon Top Ten Android Games

Deadly Dungeons has been voted one of the 10 best Android games in the last 2 years by MeAndMyDroid.com.  Here is what the reviewer had to say about the game:

I enjoy a good adventure, but there's something about the mobile platform that causes me to not want to play a deep adventure game and prefer a dungeon crawler that I can pick up and put down at will. You know... the kind of game you can play for five minutes while the wife uses the ladies room and you're left waiting outside. Deadly Dungeons fits that bill best for me and I appreciate that the developer has continued to maintain the game and is currently working on an expansion.

postheadericon Deadly Dungeons is Still Active

Recently, comments have floated around that Deadly Dungeons is an abandoned game.  This is false.  The expansion has been in active development for the last two months, and as soon as I receive the art content from Micha, I will be able to put the finishing touches on it and release it.

You can test the expansion by contacting me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and I will be happy to send you a copy to test.

If anyone who has purchased the game is able to, please leave a comment on Android Marketplace letting people know that the game is still active and the next update will have the expansion in it.

postheadericon Updates and Expansions

I now have the finished storyline for the first expansion.  The expansion will feature more NPCs that take an active role in the storyline.  Instead of just cutting through hordes of enemies, there will be plenty of individuals that would rather talk than kill the player.  There will also be a couple of side quest areas that feature randomly generated puzzle levels.  Much like Nethack, there will be some special artifacts that drop in these areas that will help the player out.  Though, if the player isn't interested in the puzzles, then they can be skipped.

Micha (the artist) will be on holiday next month, so I likely won't be able to release the expansion until September.  I am currently implementing the entire expansion without the extra textures and creature images though.  I'll just need to wait until the art content is available to release it.

In the meantime, I should have all the dungeon enhancements done soon.  I'll try to get some of the sub quest branches in for the current dungeon levels.  Hopefully this tides everyone over until the expansion is released.  The expansion will add a great deal to the game.  Right now, it looks to increase the size of the game by 3x.
