Hi all,

Not sure if this could be considered a "bug", be advice :)

I have a TF101 with ICS and as some may know, there is a big issue right now regarding reboots, freeze, etc...

Anyways, i did some 3 factory resets to my ASUS TF, so i dont have anything installed but my lovely Deadly Dungeons.

My problem is the following...My table works just find for hours without any problems. My only problem is after i play deadly dungeons, if i go and Exit the game through the menu, after around some seconds my table reboots.

Not saying the problem is with Deadly Dungeons or my Table or even ICS. But i was wondering if the game was "optimized" for ICS or if anyone has any clue. Does the game have any logs i could check, etc? etc?

Any help would be appreciated!

Given that the game works well on the Asus Transformer TF101 with Android 3.x (I have one at work I've tested with), I would say that the actual Asus Transformer works with Deadly Dungeons.

I haven't tested it with ICS though.  There was an issue with how Deadly Dungeons handled initial resource loading that could cause it to crash on ICS.  I have since fixed this since version 2.0.0 which was the expansion release.

To me, it would sound like ICS is having some sort of issue releasing resources allocated in the extended memory available for images and textures.  Although an app is limited to 16 mb, texture and images are not counted in this.  I would imagine these would be deallocated after an application is exited.

It does sound like an ICS issue on the Asus Transformer.  If you can download the adb program found in the Android SDK and use it to log errors on the device, you may be able to catch why this causes the device to crash.  GPUs are very touchy about video memory and processes allocating or deallocating memory improperly.  If ICS is handling video memory incorrectly on the Asus Transformer, perhaps due to a driver issue, then this would result in a very unstable system.

You may try loading a free 3d game with lots of textures to see if the same thing occurs.

Thank you for the answer. I suspect the same, something about ICS and Asus not being able to handle correctly the exit. I will give a try about other games with high textures, etc.. but about the ADB program, is the first time i heard about it (im not into SDK). I will look for it and give it a try too. Thanks!
