Two problems with current version.

1. black screen occurs when trying to log in. I can still get back to main menu to log out. Can create a new character but it eventually ends up with a black screen on load, too.

2. In some cases, black screen is precipitated by the following:

Go through a "cave" from one level to another. As soon as you are through it you go back through over and over and over. It never stops. When you save and exit, you can come back in and you may get one of the following:

1. a working character

2. continuing back and forth through the cave

3. a black screen.

Any way you end up you can still activate the menu to get exit or go back to the screen that lets you create a new character, choose an old character or exit. I purchased the game during the first week of June.

A black screen would likely mean that some sort of asset is not available and it causes a null exception to be executed.  I catch exceptions in the render function, but just ignore it and attempt to continue on.

I'm not sure if you want to debug this, but if you download the sdk and locate the adb program in platform-tools, you can view the logs that are printed.  If you see a bunch of nulls, then something indeed failed to load.  This may be device specific as I have not run into the issue with any of the devices I have tested on.

As for the back-and-forth through the doorways.  I notice that Android holds onto the input messages while the level is loading, and will execute them after the load.  What likely occurs is that you press a movement button which causes you to go back into the exit as soon as you load the level.  Try not hitting the location where the back button will be during load.

I'll see if there is a way I can discard input messages while the level is loading.

I am seeing the same back-and-forth issue with changing levels and not being able to reload a character. First time was in the temple. I eventually got past it by powering down my phone, but I did lose all my maps.

It has happened again in the God Realm at Level 19. I poweered down and was able to reload my character, but now I cannot go through the doorway to the next level. Everything else seems to work.

I'm on a DroidX

I created another character and again experienced the back-and-forth when trying to go from level 10 to 11.  I was able to use the main menu to exit, but cannot get this character back.  When I try to reload, it gives me the "Loading..." meessage then a black screen.  Tried power off and pulling the battery, but no change.

Running on DroidX with Andriod 2.3.4

I love the game and hope a resolution can be found.

Excellent!  That got things moving again.  A few notes after a few days of play that may be helpful:

1. For my first character, I deleted all the level files as you suggested.  For my second, I just deleted that last level that was giving me problems and that seemed to work.

2. After 3 more levels with my first character, the problem re-occurred, but this time I was unable to load any characters at all.  I ended up deleting the highest two level files to get everything back.
