codezombie,have you thought about,possibly incorporating status protection armor?maybe,some class specific stuff?you could have the merchant sell it.just a thought...

i know you had mentioned,that you wanted 2 keep it a classless system of leveling,but there are so many possibilities here.simple 2 change a few things like that,and wouldnt really harm the game.with the current weapon selection,it leans toward certain classes anyway.so i think it would be neat 2 explore that.this is just my opinion,so please dont take offense.just trying 2 give you some feedback.

That's an interesting idea.  I likely wouldn't place status protections on random pieces of equipment.  It would probably make sense to generate special types of certain equipment that has these added effects.

Perhaps I can have certain types of rings and amulets that protect you from special attacks or give you special abilities.  That way, you can only have two of those effects at a time, and the trade off is that you gain no stats from them.

I like that the more I think about it.  I could even put in an amulet of resurrection that brings you back to life if you die.

Heh, I could make some rings of see invisible just so I can then make invisible creatures that you miss 75% of the time when you try to hit them. \o/

I think these sorts of things would make the game a bit more interesting.
