Yes, it will effect the minimum and maximum damage done by bows.

I think it would be more interesting if certain bows (and certain swords, and certain armour) required a minimum strength to use/wear.  It would give us pesky magicians a reason to put some points in the stat, at any rate.

I have so many different questions for this game such as: I once wore a +7 endurance armor for a couple of levels, when I took it off I lost more than seven HP. Later I took it on and off and gained and lost exactly seven. Are items added to the total HP you gain per level, and the longr you wear them will it affect your HP more? Also, im currently wielding two different swords. Do each of them add my strength to damage? It seems to, but if that is double ATT I'm doing, do two handed weapons also receive this strength bonus? If so that would mean dual wielding would make strength all the more important as far as stats go.

You can look through the Guide on this website for information on stats. Equipment should only provide a direct bonus to stats. Equipment stats do not affect level up bonuses. In the code, I have two functions. One returns the base stat and is used for level up bonuses. The other is used for getting current stats used for hp, mana, and damage calculations. It iterates through each piece of equipment to add up the equipment stats and adds that value to the base stat.

I had checked the guide here before I asked, I was just checking to make sure my 24 average damage swords were doing more than a 36 average damage great axe.

Are points placed in endurance retroactive to HP gain by level?

I believe I have proven that hp work retroactively experimentally for endurance enhancing clothes worn. Of course we need a statement from the author to be sure, and that natural stats behave differently is always possible.  I just don't think so.
